Cylcing is one of the easiest ways to exercise, build strength, burn calories and improve heart health while more importantly being great fun! It can be enjoyed alone, with other children or a nice bike ride with mum and dad instead of stuck at home watching the TV!

The weight of a kids bike makes a huge difference to fun and manoeuvrability than your adult bike. This is because children are (usually) smaller, lighter and do not have the strength of an adult. A Kg (Kilogram) or two saved from the bike of a six-year-old weighing 30kg (about 5 stone) is similar to approximately 3kg saved from an adult bike.

Kids bikes are normally measured in front wheel size from 12in to 20in and above. As a general guide smaller or preschool children have 12in - 14in wheels, Ages: 4-8 have 16in - 18in wheels, Ages: 7-10 have 20in + wheels.
