Pool is a great activity and game of skill which can be played with friends and family or by yourself when trying to improve your game. All Garden Fun have a large range of pool tables in a range of sizes and specifications including folding pool tables. The most frequent question we are asked is What is the difference between American Pool and English Pool. English Pool is normally red/yellow balls of 2in diameter with smaller pockets for a game of higher skill. American pool has larger balls (2 3/4 inch) and in turn larger pockets which can make for a much more fun game especially with novice players.

We are often asked what size room is needed for a pool table, as a general rule please allow for approx. 3ft around the table to allow you to take shots. The following room size guide should help:
5ft pool table: Room size - 335cm x 259cm (11ft x 8.6ft)
6ft pool table: Room size - 366cm x 274cm (12ft x 9ft)
7ft pool table: Room size - 396cm x 305cm (13ft x 10ft)
8ft snooker table: Room size - 427cm x 351cm (14ft x 11.6ft)
9ft snooker table: Room size - 457cm x 366cm (15ft x 12ft)
